The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades was seen for the first time this week following the news that his marriage to wife Lisa-Marie Zbozen has ended. Jay was spotted in a black Land Rover not too far from where he runs his company, Jay and Co.

The 54-year-old opted for a white shirt with a black waistcoat and his signature thick-rimmed glasses. Jay seemed sombre as he navigated the rural roads, appearing not to be wearing his wedding ring.

It’s the first time that the BBC star has been seen publicly since his wife Lisa announced on social media at the start of May that she’s left Jay. The pair tied the knot back in 2022 at an intimate ceremony in Barbados.

However, after 18 months of marriage, the fitness instructor detailed the end of their relationship admitting in an emotional post she felt “broken”.

She wrote: “I probably should be really angry but I’m just incredibly sad about the whole thing right now.

“I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much.”

Lisa candidly revealed she felt numb and admitted to crying whilst writing the post, unable to believe it was real.

Signing off the post, the fitness instructor told her followers she was “very broken” as people rushed to send their support.

The news of their marriage split came days after Jay told his followers he was taking some time off of social media.

Jay shared an Instagram video explaining he had just been to his uncle’s funeral, who had reportedly been stabbed following a dispute.

Admitting the death had really affected him, the BBC star said: “So what I'm intending on doing is this... I'm coming off social media for a bit.

“I'll be back in a bit. Going to go and get some therapy and just chill out. When things happen sometimes you really need to take stock and just relax.

“Please, take care of each other, take care of yourself, and I'll see you guys soon."
