Angel and Dick discuss their Escape to the Chateau tour
Dick and Angel Strawbridge have announced the news that they are returning to Channel 4 a year after the broadcaster cut ties with them. The pair rose to fame on the Channel 4 property show Escape to the Chateau.
The popular programme followed the pair as they bought and renovated the historic Château de la Motte-Husson, turning it into a thriving business and family home.
However, after six years it was announced last year that Channel 4 would be cancelling their show after concerns were raised over the pair's conduct.
It seems Angel and Dick are returning as next month they're back with a new travel show titled: Dick and Angel's Secret France, which is set to air on Sunday 2 June. It is understood that this will be their last outing on the broadcaster.
A source told The Sun: "Despite cutting ties with the Strawbridges, it was always the intention that execs would broadcast the show at a later date.

"Channel 4 have pulled back on publicising the series and haven't changed their position on working with Dick and Angel in the future after their internal review was completed."
It was previously reported that former colleagues alleged the Strawbridges "clashed with producers". A source told Deadline: "There has been a deteriorating relationship between Two Rivers and Dick and Angel’s Chateau TV for various reasons and it all came to a head."
Another added: "They don’t suffer fools. People who try to remote manage them from the UK, that doesn’t work. Or people who come into their house and boss them around, that doesn’t work either."
Express.co.uk has previously contacted Dick and Angel's representatives for a comment.

Their Channel 4 show Escape to the Chateau ended in 2022 and the final episode brought in 2.5 million viewers as they said their final farewells to the beloved French project.
Speaking about their new show, the couple said in a teaser: "Last year, we went on a road trip visiting some of the lesser-seen parts of France. Our adventures and discoveries were recorded by Channel 4 in a 3-part series and we are so excited to share this with you!
"It's been an voyage of discovery and we wanted to find places that were off the beaten path, where tourism hasn't overshadowed the local culture. It was important to us that each episode felt authentic and truly showcased the essence of the area."
'Secret France with Dick & Angel' airs on Sunday 2 June on Channel 4 at 8pm.
