What is the shelf-life for your products?
All our dessert sauces have a shelf life of 12 months provided the product is stored at room temperature, never frozen, and is stored away from direct sunlight. Please refer to the ‘Best If Used By’ dates located on the lid of the jar.
Do I need to refrigerate your products?
Yes, once you have opened the jar, please refrigerate according to label instructions.
How long does the product remain usable after opening the jar?
The opened jar can be enjoyed for up to 30 days with proper refrigeration. Please refer to the ‘Best If Used By’ date located on the lid of the jar.
Are your products Kosher?
Please refer to our Products Page for information regarding Kosher certification on the product you are inquiring about.
Are your products gluten-free?
While they are not certified gluten free, none of Mrs. Richardson’s® Dessert Sauces are made with gluten-containing ingredients. Please refer to our Products Page for allergen information on the product you are inquiring about.
Is your manufacturing facility a nut-free facility?
Baldwin Richardson Foods is a nut-free and sunflower-free manufacturer. The facility produces no nut-based or nut-inclusive products and does not allow any ingredients into the facility which contain nut-based allergens as components of the ingredient.
Where is Mrs. Richardson’s made?
Mrs. Richardson’s® Dessert Sauces are manufactured at our facility in Macedon, NY.
Are Mrs. Richardson’s® Dessert Sauces measured in ounces or fluid ounces?
The net weight of product in a jar of Mrs. Richardson’s® Dessert Sauce is 16 ounces, or 435 grams in the metric system.
Can I have your secret recipe?
No secret ingredient here, just quality ones.
What is the difference between Butterscotch Caramel and Caramel?
There is very little difference between the two products. In early 2019, we changed the name of our Butterscotch Caramel to Mrs. Richardson’s® Caramel Dessert Sauce and revised the ingredients to be free from artificial colors and flavors. Visit any of our product flavor pages on our website to see the ingredients in a particular flavor as well as the ingredients we use to make our delicious sauces. Every flavor includes no artificial colors or flavors.
