Slow Cooker Venison Tenderloin

Since my family is a hunting family we always have a freezer full of delicious and lean deer meat. We love the flavor of venison and this recipe is SO stinkin’ easy and yummy that I am sure if you are a venison lover as much as I am you are going to want to make this recipe soon!

If you’re not a venison fan, have no fear, you can make this with a beef tenderloin too!

When I spotted a package of deer tenderloin that had been cut up into 1 inch thick slices in my freezer my mouth started to water. I quickly pulled the package out of the freezer and popped it into the refrigerator to thaw overnight.

The next day I sorted through the pantry to and found a couple of cans of low sodium cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soup and a package of ranch dressing mix too.

I mixed up the cream of soups (make sure you are using low sodium versions…otherwise this is going to get WAY too salty) with the package of ranch dressing mix (you can totally make your own ranch dressing mix too…we have a recipe for that here ->>> Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix.

Place your slices of deer tenderloin in the crock-pot, pour the soup/ranch mixture over it and let it cook for about 5 hours until the meat in fork tender.

We then served the tenderloins over some cooked egg noodles, spooning the “gravy” mixture over it all for a simple and delicious dinner that the whole family really loved!
